• HAWK Learning Community sessions and drop-in mentoring sessions will take place on-site at Rose Family Center for Creative Empowerment on the days and times listed above.Each HAWK mentor will meet with their assigned cohort on the days and times specified at RFCEC.
  • The HAWK mentoring methodology includes the development of personal, family, career and financial goals which form the basis for an individualized student plan.Embedded within the plan are strategies to improve attendance, behavior, academic performance and leadership. 
  • Incentives are an integral part of engagement as well as providing a relevant, student focused, and authentic building of relationships.
  • Field trips both actual and virtual are culturally relevant and designed to expand the range of experiences which alter attitudes and beliefs.
  • Central to and integrated within all lessons and mentorship is an emphasis on the African Diaspora and creating positive self-worth.
  • Case management will be handled via an electronic management platform (Trello and Slack).
  • The “Black Men United” series will be produced and hosted by Reverend Jemmott. Dates and time are being determined.  Reverend Jemmott will be available as a back-up mentor for youth and serve as the parent (men) contact for HAWK.
  • Andre Warren will assist Raphael will data collection and reporting.
